Join one of our Asian cooking classes where our inspirational Chef will show you how to balance contrasting flavours to create a truly tasty dish.

Fragrant, spicy and flavoursome, Thai food has quickly become one of Australia’s favourite cuisines. With exotic ingredients like chillies, lime, lemongrass and coconut milk, it’s easy to see why.  For those a little more curious of our Asian cousins, we have introduced a hint of Japan, Malaysia and China to our menu.

With individual gas burners, you create and eat your very own dishes which you can enjoy with new friends and a glass of Thai Singha beer or wine. We also keep our 100% hands on classes small (8 maximum), so that everyone gets full attention.

About your Chef and Cooking Coach, Matthew Conroy…

Chef Matt Conroy at Amytis Gardens Cooking School on the Sunshine CoastHead Chef Matthew Conroy’s love of cooking started at the age of 17. His drive to discover as many different food influences as possible has seen him working in 5* European restaurants such as The Dorchester, as well as many years within local restaurants. Along the way, Matt has earned himself quite a following. His influences range from Scandinavia to Spain, and more recently to the Asian influence of Thailand. Matt says “I love the freshness and flavours of Thai cooking, it really suits our relaxed coastal lifestyle. It’s also so quick and healthy, how can you not love it?”.

All levels of experience are welcome from beginners to advanced .  We feature  two classic Thai menus, as well as a classes especially designed for larger groups:
